Vintage 1940s AYNSLEY PINK CABBAGE ROSE CUP & SAUCER on BLACK with Gold Filigree

  

Cabinet Set Cup & Saucer Se t. BLACK Body with Gold Filigree Saucer details. Beautiful and elegant large deep pink cabbage roses on a black body with extensive gold filigree garland details on the black saucer. Note that the cup handle is completely gold gilded. This set likely most dates from the 1950s.

Excellent condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines, staining, other damage or restoration on either cup or saucer; both pass the bone china ping test. No wear to the floral transfer noted. A few pin pricks of missed black paint at saucer recess. The gold trim is 99% intact. Cup measures 2 1/4" tall at sides (2 5/8" tall to top of handle) and entire cup is 4 3/4" across including handle; saucer is 5 1/2" across. Marked with older Aynsley crown mark in dark green and C925 handpainted in dark grey on bottom of cup. Please ignore all white spots on all photos caused by camera flash. This lovely set would make a beautiful addition to your collection or a perfect gift. Please remember that my items are vintage and not store-bought-new and some minor wear from age and use should be expected.
