Cased Art Deco Tea Set for 6, Schlaggenwald, Czechoslovakia gilt, silver nudes

  

A superb boxed set of porcelain Art Deco cups and saucers by Schlaggenwald, Czechoslovakia. They are richly gilded including the handles and cup interiors, The majority of the design is depicted in silver.

Classical nudes, depicted dancing, seated and reclining, a charming deer is included on each piece. There is an interior rim of roses on both the cups and saucers and a stylised leaf pattern to the border of each piece.

The saucers measure 4 3/8th inches in diameter and the cups have a top diameter of 2 7/8th inches and are 1 5/8th inches high. The case bears the original retailers name which is'Forsyth Ltd, Edinburgh and Glasgow'. The box has a faux tortoiseshell design and has a few minor scuffs. The cups and saucers are in excellent condition.
