A Beautifully Crafted Antique Royal Worcester Miniature Cabinet Cup & Saucer. Hand painted with pink roses and foliage to the inside of the cup and saucer with applied 22 carat gold gilding, with both pieces signed by the artist "Twin" (Miss Twinberrow; a Royal Worcester Artist of Flowers at the time). They are in very good condition with no chips, cracks or crazing.
For complete accuracy there a few light surface scratches to the saucer when held to the light and the outside of the cup to be expected with age, but no loss of paint, also a tiny rough patch where the gold has been applied by hand (please see photos). Sizes are approximately; cup 5.7cm diameter (6.9cm total width including handle) and 3cm high. Saucer is 9.6cm wide. Both have Royal Worcester marks to the base indicating the date of manufacture to be 1918. A truly stunning cabinet set at the beginning of the Royal Worcester Era, famous for its skillfully painted porcelain, in themselves works of art! Will be packed with care!
