Kutani Gold Hand Painted Tea Set w/ Geisha Lithophane 6 Cups, Saucers, Dessert Plates, Sugar Bowl, Milk Jug/Pitcher and Teapot. This mint condition Japanese Kutani bone china set is for 6 person tea setting.

It is hand painted in gold portraying Mount Fuji with a river and small structure framed by bamboo leaves. The tea cups feature lithoplanes of geisha girls, clearly visible when held up to the light. Set consists teapot, sugar bowl, milk jug, 6 cups, 6 saucers and 6 side plates. Research on the signature mark suggests it is from early to mid 1970s. The geisha girl lithoplanes were popular around WW2. Given as a gift from Liverpool England, exact date unknown.

6 - Saucers 5.5 diameter. 6 - Full cups 3.75" diameter 2" tall.

1 - Teapot 8.5" from handle to spout, 4.5" diameter 5.75 tall. 1 - Milk Pitcher 3.5" tall 3.5" diameter. 1 - Sugar bowl 3.75" diameter 4.5" tall.
