The saucer has a diameter of 5 1/2 inches. The cup is 2 5/8 inches tall with a diameter of 2 3/4 inches. The set is made of fine, white bone china. It is decorated with celeste blue French enamel. The band of blue are decorated with white raised enamel beads of jewels and raised gold beads.
There are bands of lacy gilding and dentil gold trim on the rims. The color combination on the stark white porcelain is striking. The Post Office requires this.
