Antique Spode Copelands Demitasse Cup & Saucer, Made for Tiffany, Hand Painted

  

CONDITION: There is light scuffing to gilding around well of saucer, otherwise in excellent condition. This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in England by Spode Copelands in the 1890s. It was made especially for Tiffany in New York. The saucer has a diameter of 4 3/4 inches. The cup is 2 inches with a diameter of 2 1/8 inches.

Both pieces have wide bands of brilliantly colored flowers on a chocolate brown ground encircling them. Wide bands of gold enhance the decoration. Tiny sprigs of flowers dot the interior of the cup. The Post Office requires this.
