RARE Antique 1881-89 COALPORT Gold Gilt Cup LEAFAGE Beaded Handle Cup Saucer. Pings well, no cracks, chips or repairs. Gold interior is excellent - just a hint of wear beginning along tops of cup rim ridges. Cup base is crazed - not present anywhere else.

Features fluted bodies with heavily scalloped rims - fine beaded surfaces with molded white leaf accents. Handle of cup mimics a twisted branch with raised white beads.

Both pieces are trimmed in bright gold gilt. Slightly larger than a s. 1750 backstamps, with "LEAFAGE" pattern name indicated in scrollwork. A separate applied orange stamp indicates pattern was made for a merchant - "BAZAR INGLES, BUENOS AYRES". Really unique and rare Victorian cabinet set!
