Rare PARAGON FLOATING PINK ROSE on GOLD CUP & SAUCER Hand Painted c1952-60

  
"FLOATING PINK ROSE on GOLD". BURGUNDY Body with Gold Filigree details. Beautiful and elegant hand painted large pink rose with a rich dark burgundy body and extensive gold filigree details and it appears to be floating on an inner background of pure burnished gold. Excellent vintage condition with no chips, staining, other damage or restoration on either cup or saucer and both pass the bone china "ping" test perfectly. None of these flaws detract from the overall beauty of this set. Cup measures 2 1/8" tall at sides (2 1/4" tall to top of handle) and entire cup is 4 3/4" across including handle; saucer is 5 3/8" across. Both cup and saucer marked with Double Warrant mark in brown (B9 mark used 1952-60) with pattern number A1793 in dark burned orange on bottom of saucer. Please ignore all white spots on all photos caused by camera flash.
