Beautiful and rare antique and vintage tea set. Consists of a pink rose and gold creamer and sugar bowl by Haviland Limoges paired with two demitasse cups and saucers that match in size, style, and color remarkably well. The creamer and sugar bowl are made by Haviland, in the Limoges region of France. The undersides are marked with both. Both feature gold accents on the rims and base (on a raised pattern) and more elaborate designs on the handle of the creamer.
Pink roses and greenery are featured all around the outside and the inside of both. The result is a striking display as the color is crisp and pops no matter where you eye is trained. These were made in France in the early 1900s. These may be rare, as I could not find an exact pattern match in the Schlieger Number System.
A few were close, but none featured the larger pink blossoms and a second layer of gold. The creamer stands 3 inches and is almost 5 inches long. The rim is scalloped and the body is paneled. The bowl is a bit longer than 5 inches long and 2 1/4 inches high. The Sugar bowl has 14 faux sugar cubes decorated with flowers, and gold stainless steel tongs. The delicate porcelain demitasse coffee cups feature a couple surrounded by gold detail, with accents on the rim, base and handles.
Each cup is about 2 1/2 inches tall. Each comes with a matching saucer. I love the baby blue accents on the bottom portion of the cups and on the saucer. These are probably from a few decades later, and were made in Japan. Each is stamped Made in Japan. I included this set because the size of the cups match the diminutive creamer and sugar bowl, and the pink matches almost perfectly!
