RARE Antique 1864 GERMAN MILITARY KPM HP CUP & SAUCER Gold Trim CARL PADUCH

  
Rare Military Cup & Saucer. Presented for your consideration is this rare military cup and saucer. Dating to 1864, this hand-painted German military cup & saucer features a gold leaf, vine design throughout each piece with gold trim around the outer edge of the saucer and around the top rim of the cup. The front of the cup has a detailed picture of two men holding hands. The man on the left is wearing a military uniform and holding a walking stick in one hand with a green bag at his hip.

The man on the right wears a black hat, jacket and pants with a grey vest. In between the men is a scene of a building.

Above their hands is a gold leaf crown with "Guten Morgen Pieber Veitan" written in black lettering above the crown. Name on the cup reads "Carl Paduch" in gold lettering.

Bottom of the cup is marked with KPM. The saucer features three different pictures that are mixed in with the vine design.

One of the pictures is of a crossed gun and sword and one is of a German military helmet. The last picture is of some sort of insignia resembling crossed spears and sails. In the center is a handwritten message in black lettering. Unsure as to what the message says since it is hard to read due to some wear of the lettering. At the end of the message it reads Berlin 1864.

" Bottom of the saucer is marked with "KPM. This very hard to find military cup and saucer would make a great addition to any military or KPM collection! A very small surface crack is underneath the black lettering on the cup and a small crack is in the bottom of the handle. Otherwise the set is free of damage. Overall in VERY GOOD condition for its age.

Please refer to the photos for the absolute best details. Saucer measures 6" in diameter and 1 1/4" tall. Cup measures 4 1/2" from the back of the handle to the front edge of the cup, 3 3/4" in diameter excluding the handle and 2 3/4 tall.
