Beautiful vintage Johann Haviland Bavaria porcelain tea set for six, decorated in soft pink with hand-painted cherry blossom sprays and rich gold detailing. This elegant design is widely associated with the "Barbara" model, produced during the period when Gio Ponti was artistic director at Richard Ginori, who owned the Johann Haviland factory in the 1920s-30s. The teacups also carry a Swiss retailer mark J.

A complete and unusually well-preserved example, including the original matching tray and serving plates. This pattern closely matches the Johann Haviland "Barbara" model, often attributed to Gio Ponti in dealer listings due to its Art Deco styling and period of production.
