DESCRIPTION: The beautiful set of four cups & saucers (plus 1 extra saucer) was decorated by the Edelstein Porcelain Factory studio using the brown, green and gray color palate. The cups are interestingly shaped as they are very wide at the top and are almost cone shaped tapering to a 1/2 circle in the bottom of the cup which sits on a low pedestal. The trim on the handles is solid gold on the top half of the handle with the rims & the bottom of the pedestals having a narrow gold band. CONDITION: While this set is classified as used, the condition is superb. There are no chips, nicks, cracks, rubbings, scratches, crazing or hairlines.
There is no wear on the gold. DIMENSIONS: The cups have a diameter of 4" and a height of 2 3/16". The saucers have a diameter of 6" and a height of 13/16". Ohnemuller & Ulrich took over renaming it the Upper Franconian Porcelain Factory in 1890.
