Pair of Nippon Hand Painted Dresden Style Floral & Gold Bouillon Cups & Saucers Very pretty pair porcelain bouillon cups and saucer. Nicely decorated in the popular Meissen / Dresden style with hand painted dark and light pink roses, and other flowers in pink, dark pink, purple, orange, and yellow. With fancy gold gilt floral, scrollwork and scalloped designs and double gold gilding along the edge. The outside of the bouillon cups are painted with pink roses.
These are possibly made during the Nippon era or Japanese porcelain (1891 - 1921), but are more likely a pre Nippon and circa 1880s. These have some minor wear to the gilding, though one of the saucers has a little more wear to the gilding in the center. One of the cups has a 1/2 tight crack extending off the lip and one of the saucers has a very small gilded over flake to the edge. No additional chips or cracks. Each bouillon cup measures approximately 5 1/2 inches wide x 2 1/4 inches tall.
Each saucer measures approximately 5 1/2 inches wide. These are antiques and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the pieces.
