Beautiful 16-piece Russian porcelain tea set manufactured by the Imperial Porcelain Manufactory, formerly known as the Lomonosov Porcelain Factory, St Petersburg. The set is decorated in the striking "Radiant Church Bells" pattern, also commonly known as "Russian Domes", featuring cobalt-blue Russian architectural motifs, fine geometric decoration and hand-applied gilt detailing. Each piece carries the Imperial Porcelain factory backstamp reading.
"Hand Decorated - 1744 - St Petersburg - Russia". Please note that 1744 refers to the year the factory was established and is not the manufacturing date of this set. The set presents very well, with bright cobalt decoration and attractive gilding. There is some minor rubbing and wear to the gold decoration, together with occasional small surface marks consistent with previous use and storage. No obvious major damage is visible in the photographs; however, every cup and saucer should be individually checked for tiny chips, cracks or crazing before the listing is published. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the description. Because of the gilt decoration, hand washing is recommended.
Not suitable for microwave or dishwasher use. A highly decorative and collectable Russian porcelain service, ideal for display or special-occasion use.
