Rare PARAGON Cup & Saucer FLOATING RED ROSE COMPLETELY GOLD GILDED INTERIOR
On Completely Gold Gilded Background. Stunning design of an elegant huge dark red rose in full bloom with green leaves floating on a completely gold gilded background. The cup interior and saucer recess are identical.
The outer body of the cup and saucer is a rich burgundy/maroon. One of the most beautiful cups and saucers I have ever owned. The cup handle and all trims and the cup base are also gold. Very wide open bowl of the cup to accentuate the rose and gold gilding.
Both cup and saucer are in perfect condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines, other damage or restoration. Both pieces pass the ping test of bone china perfectly. No wear to transfer; no wear to trim and only the slightest scratches/rubs visible to the gold under extreme light as would be expected from on metal finish and a couple of pin pricks on the burgundy background. Cup measures 2 1/4" tall at sides and 2 1/2" to top of handle and is 4 3/4" across including handle; the saucer is 5 1/2" across. Marked as shown in photo with pattern A 1572 handpainted in burned orange. Please ignore all white spots on photos caused by camera flash.This stunning set would make a great addition to your collection. Please remember my items are vintage and not store-bought new and minor wear from age and use is to be expected. Condition is clearly noted in above description.
