Rare Queen Anne PINK ROSE FLORAL GARLAND CUP & SAUCER Completely Gold Gilded
PINK R OSE GARLAND & COMPLETELY GOLD GILDED. Very Good Condition - minor wear to gold. A fancy cabinet set with extensive bright gold gilding. A garland of pink roses and blue forget me knots and leaves in two bands cover the inside of the cup as well as the saucer.
The interior and saucer surface background are completely covered in gold. Scalloped open body shape of cup and saucer. Likely dates from the 1950s. Very good condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines, staining, other damage or restoration on either piece - they both pass the ping test perfectly.
No wear to the floral pattern on cup interior or saucer exterior which remains bright. There are a couple of spots of wear to the gold finish on the cup interior and on the edges of the saucer recess; solid gold backgrounds are also susceptible to slight scratches from age and use - please examine the close-up photos for more details. Cup measures 2 1/4" tall at sides and 3" to top of handle and is 5" across including handle; saucer is 5 3/4" across. Marked as shown in photo with Queen Anne Fine Bone China England as well as decorator and gilder squiggles.
Please ignore all white spots on all photos caused by camera flash. This lovely set would make a great addition to your collection.
