Set Of 9 ANTIQUE COALPORT ENGLAND GOLD ENCRUSTED BAND CUPS & SAUCERS PATTERN UNK

  

Set of 9 antique cup and saucer sets made by Coalport of England with one extra cup! I looked high and low to find the name and date of this pattern but I could not. Pattern features a gold-encrusted band closest to the edge, followed by an ivory band with gold filigree on it, and then a white ground.

There are thin bands of gold around the rim and foot of the cups, and gilded handles. There is also delicate gold scrollwork along the inner rim of the cups.

The green Coalport mark is on both the cups and saucers, along with the handwritten numbers "6646" which must be the number of the decoration; the saucers have an incised "14110" which must be the blank style. The cups measure 3 1/2" in diameter across the top and 2" tall; the saucers measure 5 1/2 in diameter. Set is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or noticeable damage to the china except for one saucer which has some crazing (last 2 photos). There is also no obvious wear to any of the decoration except for a little gold loss on the verges of the saucers.
