Sevres Cup and Saucer Decorated with a Crest of the French Republic in Gilt 1906

  
Antique French Sevres cup and saucer set. The cup is decorated with the Marianne framed by a golden laurel wreath with the initials R and F for French Republic. The Marianne symbolises Liberty, Reason, the Nation, the Homeland and the civic virtues of the Republic. The cup has interior decorated with gilt flowers and gilt rim. The cup has molded loop handle. Mark of the manufacture with the green stamp dated "S 1905". Mark of the decoration with red stamp "Manufacture Nationale Dore a Sevres RF 1906".

The cup is approx: h - 5 cm. The saucer is approx 13.5 cm.
