Old Paris Kneeling Man Mauve & Gold Coffee Cup & Saucer Circa 1790-1810

  
Nice antique Vieux Paris / Old Paris porcelain coffee cup or coffee can and saucer. The cup is decorated with a hand painted scene of a kneeling man in a shield over a cream panel opposite the handle. The back and sides of the cup are painted in mauve with black floral designs. Gold gilding along the edge and around the panels. The saucer has a gold circle in the center with a star over a white background. The saucer has a mauve panel with black floral designs and cream panels with a white shield with symbols. Has some wear to the gilding. The saucer has a hairline extending off the edge, a tight curved crack extending off the edge, and a small Y shaped hairline to the back. The cup measures approximately 3 1/4 inches wide including the handle x 2 1/2 inches tall. The saucer measures approximately 5 1/8 inches wide.
