Rare Shelley China Dainty BLACK & GOLD Star Flower Harlequin Cup & Saucer

  

The Shape is Dainty and the pattern is called Harlequin with a black back ground and gilt gold. The saucer measures approx 5-1/2" wide and the cup is 3-1/2" wide and 2-1/2 high.

Both the cup & saucer are in excellent condition with No chips, No cracks and No repairs and it looks like there's hardly any wear to the gilt gold area's.. There's gilt trim on the rim on cup and outer edge of the saucer. The handle is all gilt gold as well.

There is some very subtle normal every day surface scratch wear from being handled and wiped with a cloth over the years and that's it.. This piece has always been on display in a cabinet. Both pieces are fully marked on the bottom (see photo). The inside interior of the cup is white and it very clean and shiny.
