Vint AYNSLEY GOLDEN ORCHARD CUP & SAUCER Pink Colorway Artist signed OBAN shape
Lovely vintage footed cup and saucer set made by Aynsley, England. Hand decorated GOLDEN ORCHARD fruit design over transfer. Features the Doris Jones facsimile signature on the cup. OBAN shape with prominent ruffled edges and embossed body details. Burnished gold cup foot and completely covered cup handle.
All on a beautiful dark pink colorway. Likely a cabinet or presentation set as it appears to have been minimally if ever used. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines, staining, other damage or restoration on either piece - both pass the ping test perfectly. No wear to the pattern and no wear to gold. Not even any white showing through the dark colors, which is almost always the case.Cup measures 2 1/4" tall at sides and 2 3/4" to top of handle and is 4 1/2" across including handle; saucer is 5 1/2" across. Marked with with Aynsley crown mark in dark green with cup base having 1034 in black. Please ignore all white spots on all photos caused by camera flash. This lovely set would make a great addition to your collection. I do try and describe my items accurately.
