Dresden Hand Painted Courting Couple Cobalt & Gold Demitasse Cup & Saucer Very pretty porcelain demitasse cup and saucer. The cup has a hand painted Watteau courting couple scene framed in fancy gold gilt scrollwork. With an overall deep cobalt blue border to the outside of the cup and saucer. With gold gilt designs along the inside of the lip and outside of the lip of the cup and to the edge of the saucer. The saucer has two smaller Watteau courting couple scenes framed in gold gilt scrollwork.

Marked on the bottom with a blue star above Dresden. This mark was used by both Richard Klemm and Karl Eduard Hamann.

Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks. The cup measures approximately 3 inches wide including the handle x 2 3/8 inches tall. The saucer measures approximately 4 3/8 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
