GDM Limoges Gold Gilt Fern Leaves & Blue Demitasse Cup & Saucer C. 1882 - 1890 A Pretty porcelain demitasse cup and saucer. Decorated in an overall blue with gold gilt fern leaves.Gold gilt scrollwork designs along the inside of the cup and a gold gilt medallion to the center of the saucer. Gold gilding along the edge. The handle is brown with gold gilt highlights. Marked CFH GDM in green on the bottom.
This mark was used by Gerard, Dufraisseix and Morel in Limoges France between 1882 and 1890. Also marked RB in red, which is probably an importer's mark for Richard Briggs.Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks. The cup measures approximately 3 inches wide including the handle x 2 1/4 inches tall. The saucer measures approximately 4 5/8 inches wide.
