Haviland Limoges Purple Blue Yellow Floral Cobalt & Gold Demitasse Cup & Saucer Nice antique late 19th century French porcelain demitasse cup and saucer. Decorated with a cobalt blue band with gold floral chintz overlay with blue raised enamel dots in the center of some of the gold flowers. The bottom of the cup and center of hte saucer are decorated with purple, yellow, and blue floral designs over a purple, yellow, and peach background. With gold gilding along the edge, below the cobalt band, and to the handle of the cup. Marked on the bottom H & C with two lines below.

This mark was used by Haviland in Limoges France in 1877. Also marked Haviland & Co Limoges in a double red circle.

This is an overglaze decorator's mark used by Haviland between 1879 and 1889. Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition. The cup measures approximately 3 inches wide including the handle x 2 3/8 inches tall. The saucer measures approximately 4 1/4 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
