Meissen Hand Painted Flowers Gold Beaded Turquoise Biedermeier Tea Cup & Saucer. Nice antique German Biedermeier porcelain footed tea cup and saucer in the X78 form with relief decoration. Polychrome flowers in cartouches, and raised oval reserves painted in turquoise with gold beading. Gold gilding along the edge. Marked on the bottom with the blue hand painted underglaze crossed swords mark used by Meissen between 1824 and 1850. This form was first made in 1847. Has wear to the gilding and a large and a small chip to the foot rim, but otherwise good condition. The cup measures approximately 4 3/4 inches wide including the handle x 3 inches tall. The saucer measures approximately 6 1/8 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
