Pair of Antique Royal Worcester. Jeweled and Hand Painted by George Hundley. These rare and lovely twin handled jeweled cups were produced at the Royal Worcester factory, c1880. They measure 3-1/4" tall by 2-5/8" across the rims and 3 across the integrated (attached) saucers. The cups also have a pair of gilded loop handles on either side.
The jeweled gilding is initialed TR on one and WY on the other by the gilders in gold on the base of each saucer. (At that time the custom was for only the master gilders to sign their work in gold). The Royal Worcester mark in puce is also present on the base of one. See photos for fading/loss to the gold trim on the left hand cup as seen.
Both cups are in otherwise very fine antique condition. I strive to ALWAYS earn 5 stars in every feedback category, So please contact me first if you have any concerns, and I will do my best to make it right.
