2 Antique Cup Saucer John Rose Coalport Candlelight Vine Imari Georgian Gilded

  

We have for sale a pair of stunning antique cup and saucers. They were manufactured by John Rose Coalport and date to the early 19th century (roughly 1815). I believe that the pattern is candlelight vine. There are slight differences in the decoration of each piece, for example on the stem of the rose in the centre of the saucers or the gilding on the trees on the cups.

The saucers themselves are also slightly different in shape. The saucer with the thicker rose stem (and bleeding in the blue area) is about 3mm higher then the other one. The condition of each item is exquisite with only a little decoration loss (please see photos). The saucers measure 142mm across.

1 stands 32mm high, the other 29mm high. The cups measure 70mm across and stand 62mm high. The saucer with the bleeding has a couple of chips on the rim on the back. The other saucer has a tiny chip on the rim on the back.

There is small areas of decoration loss here and there on each piece. Your opinion of the condition may differ from mine so please study all of the photos and ask before purchasing if you have any questions.
