There are no chips, cracks, wear or restorations. This porcelain soup cup and saucer was produced in England by Copelands China around 1891. The saucer has a diameter of 5 3/4 inches and the cup is 2 1/2 inches high.
It is made of fine, white, bone china and was produced the same way that Coalport jeweled porcelains were. Burgundy red bands of enamel are enhanced with raised white enamel beading or jewels. The design on the saucer spreads out around the bottom of the cup like the petals on a flower. Inside the petals of red enamel are tiny rows of yellow enamel dots.In combination with the intricate beaded gilding, the effect is of richness and elegance. FOR OUR CUSTOMERS OUTSIDE THE US.
