Antique Pre SHELLEY WILEMAN White Gold Shell Cup & Saucer 1890's Rd 150035

  

Beautiful antique Wileman pre Foley China Shelley tea cup and saucer. Registration number under both cup and saucer is Rd 150035, which dates this set to circa 1890.

The set has the scalloped shell form in white with gilded rim. In excellent condition with no cracks, chips or restoration. There are a few tiny potash specks to the inside of the teacup which would have occurred during firing as they are glazed. The gilt has very little wear as I have shown in the photos. The teacup stands 6cm tall with a top rim diameter of 8cm not including the handle. The saucer has a diameter of just under 15cm at its widest point.
