Outstanding Very Large Armorial KPM Berlin Cup and Saucer Set. The Background is Royal Blue with Gilding inside the Cup's Bowl.
The Front of the Cup has Hand Painted House of Hohenzollern Coat of Arms depicting Lions, Eagles and Helmets with Plumage. Some superficial research indicated that Frederick William IV was ruling Prussia during that time. The House of Hohenzollern was a German dynasty whose members were princes, electors, kings and emperors of Hohenzollern, Brandenburg, Prussia, German Empire, and Romania. Great for a Collector of 19th Century History or as a Gift!
Mark: KPM mark dating to 1849 -1870. Size: the cup is 3 1/2" tall and 4 1/4" across not including the handle, the saucer is 7 across. No chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs.
Amazing condition for porcelain that is over 150 years old! I try very hard to describe my items as accurately as possible, but these are not new items!
