Dresden Hand Painted Watteau Scene Turquoise Gold Quatrerfoil Tea Cup & Saucer. Nice antique German porcelain quatrefoil shaped tea cup and saucer. Decorated in alternating panels with hand painted Dresden flowers over turquoise and scenes with hand painted Watteau scenes / courting couples. Each panel is framed by gold gilt scrollwork designs. Marked on the bottom with the Augustus Rex AR mark, which was used by Helena Wolfsohn between 1843 and 1883. Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks. The cup measures approximately 4 1/4 inches wide including the handle x 2 1/8 inches tall. The saucer measures approximately 5 3/8 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
