M017 Antique Old Paris Porcelain Ornithological Cup & Saucer Momot & Pingon
M017 ANTIQUE OLD PARIS PORCELAIN ORNITHOLOGICAL CUP & SAUCER MOMOT & PINGON. A fine antique Old Paris Empire porcelain cabinet coffee cup and saucer. Each piece has been hand painted with a named ornithological scene.
"Mamot du Bresil" "Pincon des Andennes" The cup benefits from a handle terminal modeled as an eagle and both pieces have lavish gilding. "P" incised to base of cup.
Cup measures 6.5cm 2 1/2 tall. Saucer measures 13cm 5 1/8 diameter.Weight n/a (measurements and weights where specified are approximate). Small chip to top of handle as shown with arrow in photo. Minor manufacturing imperfection to interior as shown with arrow in photo (this is the result of an air hole for the handle during firing) No hairline. A little wear to gilt but largely intact.
